Too Much…

So, yesterday morning, I put the ingredients for a pot roast into my slow cooker. The carrots had to be peeled but the potato’s were small and just had to be washed. I put everything in and pressed start!

Next, I decided to vacuum two rooms in the downstairs of my home. By the time I finished, I knew I had reached my limit. My head was throbbing, I was nauseous and my muscles felt like I had run several miles. In addition, the joint pain was significantly increased. So, I stopped and took a short nap. It didn’t help.

During the night last night, I awoke several times with my head throbbing. At 3:30am, I just got up and here we are. My head is throbbing, my ears are ringing, I am nauseous, my joints hurt, and I am incredibly tired.

My doctors have no idea why this happens but many think it is because I am so de-conditioned. I am trying to work on re-conditioning but can’t find a prepared plan already out there. PT is great but wants me to follow a plan that is too fast and results in massive migraines. It is difficult to take into account all of my diagnosed headaches along with the things I am not supposed to do. Inevitably, I end up with a migraine that almost sends me to the emergency department and leaves me in bed for about two weeks. So, I have decided to do it on my own, take my time and be successful.

This is all part of that! Today will be a rest day although it is frustrating to not continue cleaning. I hope you will continue to choose your way to healing with peace. Have a wonderful day!
